Particle Technology Limited was founded in 1990 by Ron Buxton (C,Chem, MRSC). He has brought to the company over 35 years experience in the fields of chemical engineering, particle science and industrial/commercial consultancy work.
Since then Particle Technology Ltd has worked with a variety of companies from a broad spectrum of industries including but not limited to; automotive, aerospace, medical, military, processing and pharmaceutical. Test Dust
Particle Technology has many years experience in supplying test dusts manufactured to international standards along with test dusts manufactured to customers specific size and particle distribution requirements.
Environmental Dust Testing
Particle Technology houses one of the largest dust testing facilities for Ingress Protection and sand erosion in the UK; with a 40m3 chamber capable of air velocities up to 30m/s and temperatures up to a maximum of 900C. Accredited test standards carried out include; MIL STD 810 B - F 510.4 Proc 1 & II, DEF STD 07 - 55 (Part 2) Section 4/1, DEF STD 00 - 35 (Part 3) CL25, BS EN 60529:1992, ISO 20653:2006, RTCA DO - 160B, C, D, E, Section 12
All of the listed specifications are tested to ISO STD 17025 and are accredited by UKAS.
Particle Size Standards
Particle Technology supplies a wide range of certified particle size tandards traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology including standards from Duke Scientific.
Component Cleanliness Analyser
Particle Technology is the UK manufacturer of the Component Cleanliness Analyser. A particle counting and sizing system used in various industrial applications to test the efficiency of aqueous and solvent cleaning equipment. Component cleanliness is tested in accordance with ISO STD 16232 and ISO STD 18413:2002. We also offer the service of testing manufactured components at our dedicated laboratory at Hatton.
Particle Sizing Systems
Particle Technology distributes a range of Particle Sizing Systems using a range of techniques including laser light scattering, high speed optical imaging and high resolution microscopy for both wet and dry applications.
Consultancy & Analytical Services
Particle Technology provides a range of services to companies that add value through outsourced analytical testing, troubleshooting processes and research and development. Services include but are not limited to Component Cleanliness Verification; Particle Size Analysis; Environmental Dust Testing, Bulk Powder Properties and Filter Efficiency Testing.
