Particle Size Analysis

To provide high quality and fast particle size analysis Particle Technology Ltd have a range of instruments that can be used to determine the size and distribtution of your powders or slurries.  The most common technique employed is laser diffraction, for this Particle Technology use the latest instrument from Horiba, the Horiba Partica LA-950.  This instrument allows us to measure particles as small as as 10nm (0.01µm) up to particles as large as 3mm (3000µm).

Samples can be measured as dry powders or more commonly dispersed into an appropriate medium, most commonly water.  Using the specially designed fraction cell samples as small as a few milligrams can be tested making this the ideal solution for customers who have very little sample but still require accurate data.
