Particle Counting

For testing hydraulic fluid to ISO Standard 4406 Particle Technology Ltd has both a Coulter Counter and a HIAC/ROYCO particle counter. This allows us to determine the number of particles and their size in any liquid sample. The most common application for particle counters is to determine the contamination in super clean hydraulic fluids.

We have the capability to count particles in the range of 1 - 300 microns using either of our liquid particle counters. In our laboratory we also have a movable stage microscope attached to a video camera and image analysing software, this alllows us to count particles on a filter with a range of 1 - 2000 microns.
