Introduction

With effect from the 25th May 2018 Particle Technology Limited is controlled in relation to the protection and management of personal data by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
GDPR increases the responsibility on organizations to use personal data appropriately and to hold it securely. Personal data means any information relating to an individual person who can be indentified directly or indirectly.
Where relevant we hold personal data related to our employees, consultants, customers and suppliers and most of the information we hold has been provided by them and includes data such as name , Email address and telephone number.

 

Using Personal Data: the Legal Basis and Purpose

We process personal data of our employees, consultants, customers and suppliers:

  • As necessary to decide whether to enter into contract with them and then to manage and perform it.
  • As necessary for our own legitimate interests, e.g. for good governance, accounting, and managing our business and in the case of customers to send relevant marketing communications.
  • As necessary to comply with a legal obligation, e.g. for compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and related disclosures.

We process the above in pursuit of our trading activities and the day to day running of our business.

 

Protection of Personal Data

We make sure we process and store personal data safely and securely. All data will be kept confidential and will not be shared with any outside party, except if we are required to do so by law enforcement agencies or regulators, or in confidence with third parties such as service providers.
We are committed to ensuring that all personal data is secure with us and any third parties who act on our behalf. We have various security measures in place to protect the loss or misuse of the information we hold.

 

Rights over Personal Data

All individuals for whom we hold personal data have a number of legal rights to control what we do with it. For example we can be asked what data we hold and a copy requested and if any information is wrong it can be corrected.

 

Retention

We only keep personal data for as long as it is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Certain data will be retained for up to seven years after the relationship with Particle Technology Limited ends to enable us to comply with our legal and contractual obligations.
