DIL 544 Dilution System

DIL 544 Dilution System for static dilution (1:100) of aerosols at static air flow rate (28,3 L/min) for mobile operation

The main application of the self-adjusting DIL 544 Aerosol Dilution System is in the verification of test aerosols for testing clean rooms.

Guideline EN ISO 14644-3 defines the necessity of appropriate dilution systems when using test aerosols for verification. According to standard VDI 2083 for testing clean rooms and work benches it is compulsory to carry out measurements with increased concentrations in the incoming aerosol.

DDS 560/C Dynamic Dilution System

Dynamic Dilution System DDS 560/C for variable-adjustable dilution of aerosols at variable air flow rates

The DDS 560/C is an aerosol conditioning system that serves for free-adjustable and defined reduction of the particle number concentrations. Moreover, the dilution system can be passively operated by various aerosol sample flow rates.

Aerosol conditioning by dilution is one basic measure for analyses of aerosols. For example, numerous aerosol-analytical instruments are limited to specific concentration levels. Too high concentrations can cause a false estimate of aerosol characteristics due to the re-entrainment of deposited particles, coincidence effects within optical particle counters or insufficient bipolar neutralisation during differential mobility analyses.

SLG 270 Aerosol Generator

Condensation Aerosol Generator SLG 270 for generation of monodisperse aerosols, particle size and particle concentration adjustable

The Condensation Aerosol Generator SLG 270 produces monodisperse aerosols with definined properties in a wide range of particle size and number concentration as well.

The aerosol generation principle is based on the controlled heterogeneous condensation acc. to Sinclair-LaMer mentioned in the directive VDI 3491-4. Depending on the choice of the particle material either droplet or solid state aerosols can be generated.

The patented innovative concept in combination with state of the art control instruments and regulators guarantees quick and reproducible adjustment of both particle size and concentration. Both parameters of the outlet aerosol can be continuously monitored by means of the Process Aerosol Monitor PAM 510.

SAG 440 Dust Generator

Solid Aerosol Generator SAG 440 for aerosol generation from powders, belt dosing, best for ASHRAE dust (for ASHRAE 52.2, ISO 16890-3, EN 779)

The Dust Disperser SAG 440 has been especially developed to meet the requirements as defined by the guidelines ASHRAE 52.2 and DIN 16890-3, EN 779 for testing the performance of particulate air filters.

Due to the particular physical properties of ASHRAE test dust the instrument was adapted to this material. The dust feeder SAG 440 is particularly suited for feeding / dosing dusts containing a certain proportion of fibres and provides excellent results when producing test dust to check separation efficiencies.

SAG 420 Dust Generator

Solid Aerosol Generator SAG 420 for aerosol generation from powders, belt dosing, high mass flow rates, best for motor intake filter testing acc. ISO 5011

The Dust Feeder / Dust Disperser SAG 420 is a device for generating solid aerosols by transforming a powdered solid into the air-floating state and has a very large dosing range.

In applications where air-floating particles are required such as testing of the separation performance of filter media an aerosol with certain, well-defined characteristic features and stability over a period of time is to be used. If the aerosol is produced from a certain powder the characteristic features of the generated dust will be determined by the powder. Additional characteristic features of the aerosol are achieved by transferring the powder into the air-floating state. The process is divided into two parts: the continuous dosing of the powder mass flow and the dispersing (thinning out) of the powder preferably down to the primary particle size of the material.

SAG 410/U Dust Generator

Solid Aerosol Generator SAG 410/U for aerosol generation from powders, ring dosing, low mass flow rates, best for powders with low flowability

Solid-particle aerosols are used for research, development and quality management in numerous fields. They are produced by dust generators. In case dry and easy flowing substances are applied, the dust generators of the model series SAG 410 are suitable.

They transport the solid material using a dosing belt (VDI 3491-3). This ensures a continuous, constant and exact dosing. The dust generators of Topas GmbH consist of a control unit and a dispersion unit.

The modular design enables the user to realise a wide range of powder mass flows. The fine adjustment of the powder mass flow is done by a comfortable infinitely variable control of the belt speed. Finally, the powder is transported by suction from the dosing belt and dispersed using a two-component nozzle (designed in accordance with ISO 5011).

In case poor-flowing powders such as Pural NF are used for the generation of aerosols, the dust generators SAG 410/U or SAG 410/P are suitable. The transport of the solid material is performed by a feed screw and dosing ring. If the used solid material also tends to adhere to surfaces, the use of a special nozzle (P-nozzle) ensures the suction of the solid material from the dosing ring.
