FCS 248 Fotometer Calibration System

Fotometer-Calibration-System FCS 248 for aerosol generation from liquids, ideal for calibration of aerosol fotometers and particle counters

The FCS 248 Fotometer-Calibration-System generates stable and reproducible test aerosols for calibration of photometers and particle counters.

The calibration is based on the comparison of three devices to be calibrated. The centrepiece is a special aerosol generator, which is controlled by additional instrumentation. As an aerosol substance DEHS is used. The atomization of the aerosol substance is made using special two-fluid nozzles. By an adjustable carrier air flow and precise needle valves, the particle concentration can be varied over a wide range.

ATM 243 Aerosol Generator

Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 243 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, heatable, ideal for motor oils and oil mist separator testing

The heatable Aerosol Generator ATM 243 is a special development for testing oil mist separators.

Its innovative design is protected by an utility model and the generated aerosols comply with the requirements regarding particle size (1 … 2 µm) and concentrations for testing oil mist separators. The design of this generator ensures a very constant particle size distribution and concentration while at the same time providing a high degree of reproducibility.

The device features the possibility to adjust the temperature of the generated aerosols and can be used on a variety of oils. Depending on the type of oil and the pressure of the carrier gas various mass flow rates can be adjusted for a set working temperature.

ATM 241 Aerosol Generator

Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 241 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, very high mass flow rates, operation with 1 to 4 nozzles

The Aerosol Generator ATM 241 produces droplet aerosols with known properties according to the guideline VDI 3491.

The designs and technical solutions warrant highly constant particle size distribution as well as particle concentration with high reproducibility and a high aerosol output.

The generators of series ATM 241 enable to atomise various liquids, for example PAO (Emery 3004), DEHS, PSL-suspensions, and saline solutions (limited suitability).

ATM 240/S Aerosol Generator

Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 240/S for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, high mass flow rate, ideal for KCl aerosols acc. ISO 16890

The aerosol generator ATM 240/S was developed to produce aerosols from suspensions (e.g. salt solutions, sugar solutions) with high quantities of particles > 1 µm.

By operating the generator with aqueous potassium chloride suspensions (> 5 wt.-%), solid aerosols are formed that fulfil the requirements of ISO 16890-2 at moderate test flow rates up to 64 m³/h.

ATM 240/L Aerosol Generator

Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 240/L for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, high mass flow rate, ideal for PSL aerosols acc. ISO 29463

The aerosol generator ATM 240/L is used to generate a highly concentrated aerosol out of a suspension for testing air filters using polystyrene (PSL) particles.

In sensitive areas such as semiconductor and aerospace industry the testing of high efficiency HEPA filters is often not carried out with the commonly used oily aerosol substances (DEHS, PAO, etc.).

Even the smallest amounts of these substances can be stored in the filter and outgas in the application and can lead to product damages. The standard DIN EN 1822-4 describes the filter test with solid particles.

ATM 231 Aerosol Generator

Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 231 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, submerged nozzle, high mass flow rates

The Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 231 produces droplet aerosols with known properties according to the guideline VDI 3491-2.

The ATM 231 is designed as a serial instrument with external compressed air supply. The liquid reservoir arranged within the housing.

The ATM 231 provides a moderate aerosol output for long operation time. Its design and technical solution warrants highly constant particle size distributions as well as particle concentrations with high reproducibility.

The ATM 231 is able to aerosolise various liquids, for example PAO (Emery 3004), DEHS, salt solutions, PSL-standards suspensions.
