Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 230 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, high mass flow rate
The Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 230 produces droplet aerosols with known properties according to the guideline VDI 3491-2.
The ATM 230 is designed as a serial instrument with an external compressed air supply. The liquid reservoir is arranged within the housing.
The ATM 230 provides a high aerosol output. Its design and technical solution warrants highly constant particle size distributions as well as particle concentration with high reproducibility.
The ATM 230 is able to aerosolise various liquids, for example PAO (Emery 3004), DEHS, salt solutions, PSL-standards suspensions.
Atomiser Aerosol Generator ATM 228 for aerosol generation from liquids for mobile use, integrated compressor, pneumitic-controlled, remote controllable
The aerosol generator ATM 228 is a further development of the ATM 226 aerosol generator and serves for the mobile generation of test and calibration aerosols from pure liquids, solutions and suspensions. The generator complies to all requirements of VDI 3491-2.
Aerosol generation is realised by a brushless compressor. Accordingly, no external compressed air supply is required. For the purpose of reproducible and long-term stable aerosol generation, the air flow rate is controlled via the pressure drop over the nozzle. This allows also a reproducible and stable generator operation even at very low air flow rates and thus also at lowest particle production rates.
ATM 226 Atomiser Aerosol Generator for aerosol generation from liquids for mobile use (e.g. cleanroom acceptance measurement), integrated compressor
The ATM 226 Atomiser Aerosol Generator is especially suited for clean room and filter testing applications according to international standards.
Function test at laminar flow boxes (DIN EN 12469) and cytostatic safety workbenches (DIN 12980), the qualitative test of filters for suspended matter (HEPA and ULPA filters), and acceptance measurements in clean rooms (according to DIN ISO 14644 and VDI 2083) are a essential necessity for personal security and product safety.
Such measurements and checkouts need a suitable test aerosol. Therefore VDI-directive 3491 proposes an aerosol generator for producing a test aerosol with defined characteristics, like the ATM 226. By high generated particle numbers at a particle size distribution orientated at the Most Penetration Particle Size (MPPS) of the filter the locating of leaks in the system is possible fast and safe. If an oily aerosol substance is used (e.g. DOP, DEHS) the aerosol generator produces spherical particles mainly in the size range 0,1 … 0,5 µm with a calculable residence time. That does nearly not extra contaminate the filter material.
A further range of application for aerosol generators / liquid aerosol nebulizers is calibration of measuring devices and visualisation of currents. That enables measurements of local velocities and flow profiles of the tracer particles by means of optical methods.
Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 222 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, pneumitic-controlled, remote controllable
The aerosol generator ATM 222 combines selected technical features of the generators ATM 220 and ATM 228 for long-term stable generation of test aerosols, calibration aerosols or process aerosols from pure liquids (oils like DEHS or PAO, water), solutions (salt solution, sugar solutions) and suspensions (A2, PSL). The generator complies to all requirements of VDI 3941-2.
The generator can be operated via a pneumatic coupling plug by compressed air or other pressurised technical inert-gases (e.g. with N2, CO2). For the purpose of a reproducible and long-term stable aerosol generation, the operational air flow is controlled via the pressure drop over the nozzle. This allows also a reproducible and stable operation of the generator even at very low air flow rates and thus also at lowest particle production rates.
Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 221 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, base model with submerged nozzle
The aerosol generator ATM 221 provides aersols with low particle numbers.
For applications where a very precise setting of smaller particle production rates are required (up to 0,6 g/hr), the model ATM 221 was developed.
A further range of application for aerosol generators is calibration of measuring.
Atomizer Aerosol Generator ATM 220 for aerosol generation from liquids, compressed air operated, base model with broad operational range
Aerosol generators of series ATM are especially for cleanroom and filter test applications for years highly appreciated by our customers. Function test at laminar flow boxes (DIN EN 12469), the qualitative test of filters for suspended matter (filter leak test of HEPA and ULPA filters), and acceptance measurements in clean rooms (according to DIN EN ISO 14644 and VDI 2083) are an essential necessity for personal security and product safety.
For such measurements the VDI 3491-2 proposes an aerosol generator for producing a test aerosol with defined characteristics, like the ATM 220.
By high generated particle numbers at a particle size distribution oriented at the Most Penetration Particle Size (MPPS) of the filter the locating of leaks in the system is possible fast and safe. Using an oily aerosol substance the aerosol generator produces spherical particles mainly in the size range 0,1 … 0,5 µm with a calculable residence time.
