PAP 612 Aerosol Photometer

Process Aerosol Photometer PAP 612 for analysis of particle concentration in aerosols, extinction/scattering light for twi wavelength, best for blow by testing

The Process Photometer PAP 612 is a combined in-line extinction and scattered-light photometer (ES) for blow-by measurements (aerosol concentration determination) with double-running test sections and two wavelengths, which can operate in over- or underpressure.

The device is primarily designed for investigations of crankcase ventilation of combustion engines. Thus it should support the development and testing of filter systems. Due to its compact design, its use is conceivable on test rigs for engines, on swivelling test rigs, under lab conditions as well as for test drives in field use.

PAP 610 Aerosol Photometer

Process Aerosol Photometer PAP 610 for analysis of particle mass concentration in aerosols, best for oil mist characterisation during blow by testing

The Process Aerosol Photometer PAP 610 was developed from Topas for measurements of mass concentration in blow-by aerosols, where the concentration is determined in-situ.

This measuring instrument is an addition to the Gravimetric Measurement System GMS 141 which is also provided by Topas and used for calibrating the PAP 610.

PAM 510 Aerosol Monitor

Process Aerosol Monitor PAM 510 for analysis of mean particle size and particle concentration in monodisperse aerosols

The Process Aerosol Monitor PAM 510 determines in realtime the average particle size and number concentration in high-concentration, monodisperse aerosols.

The Condensation Aerosol Generators SLG 270 from Topas produces monodisperse aerosols in the size range from 0,2 to 8 µm. Both particle size and particle concentration can be quickly adjusted.

The Process Aerosol Monitor PAM 510 was developed for realtime measurement of the parameters mean particle size and particle number concentration. The instrument can directly be connected to the outlet of the SLG 270.

The system is also suitable for instrument calibration and aerosol research.

LAP 323 Aerosol Spectrometer

LAP 323 Aerosol Spectrometer for analysis of particle size distributions and particle number concentrations in aerosols, Dual Wave Length Technology

With the new single particle scattering light spectrometer LAP 323 the innovative Dual Wavelength technology of Topas GmbH for particle size and number determination is implemented.

The use of two laser diodes with different wavelengths allows a high-resolution detection of even small spherical particles and their accurate classification. The application of two light sources with monochromatic light of different wavelengths for scattered light generation has the advantage to level out discontinuities i.e. that particles whose size falls within this range are difficult to distinguish from one another. Additionally, the aerosol spectrometer is characterized by integrated sampling, intelligent volume flow control and compact design. The Laser Aerosol Spectrometer LAP 323 meets all technical requirements for aerosol spectrometers as described in ISO 21501-1 and VDI guideline 3867 part 4.

CPA 341 Cleanroom Particle Analyser

Optical Particle Counter CPA 341 for analysis of particle size distributions and particle concentrations in aerosols, best for cleanroom applications

The CPA 341 cleanroom particle analyser is the successor product to the PZG series from RR Elektronik GmbH. The device is a mobile or stationary single particle scattered light counter for measuring low-concentration aerosols in gaseous samples. The airborne particles are analysed in terms of particle number and size.

The CPA 341 is specially designed for monitoring ventilation systems with high purity requirements and covers the particle size range from 0.3 to 10 µm at a sampling flow rate of 28.3 L/min.

VDS 562 Dilution System

Variable Dilution System VDS 562 for variable adjustable, pressure drop compensated dilution of aerosols at defined air flow rates

The Variable Dilution System VDS 562 was especially developed to lower concentration levels of highly concentrated aerosols to adequate concentration levels by one device, without external particle-free air supply and negligible pressure drop.

For optimal aerosol-analytical conditions, several measurement and test applications require a defined reduction of the particle number concentration (VDI 3491). Depending on the application, dilution factors between > 1 up to 1’000’000 can become necessary. In practise, especially the realisation of high dilution factors (> 1’000) is complicated (e.g.: cascading of dilution systems) and is accompanied either by a considerable pressure drop or by an excessive air consumption. The dilution factor of a VDS 562 can be varied within each operation range over approximately one decade. According to the customer’s requirements, one VDS 562 device can be calibrated for multiple flow rates from 28,3 L/min up to 100 L/min.
