After submitting our final supporting evidence to UKAS we are very proud and excited to announce that our new Air Filter Test service is now fully UKAS accredited to ISO 17025:2005. This includes:
- ISO 16890-1:2016 Part 1 Technical specifications, requirements and classification system based upon particulate matter efficiency (ePM).
- ISO 16890-2:2016 Part 2 Measurement of fractional efficiency and air flow resistance.
- ISO 16890-3:2016 Part 3 Determination of the gravimetric efficiency and the air flow resistance versus the mass of test dust captured.
- ISO 16890-4:2016 Part 4 Conditioning method to determine the minimum fractional test efficiency.
This supplements our existing UKAS accreditation for air filter testing according to EN 779:2012 (Particulate air filters for general ventilation – Determination of the filtration performance), which is still favoured in some sectors, despite being superseded by ISO 16890:2016.
